AntDM not dowloading a file

It failed again. I downloaded one file, then, a few miunutes later i wanted to download another, but antdm wouldn't intercept the download. had to disable and re-enable the addon for it to work again.

Was the toolbar logo was disabled?

nope, everything looks normal, but it just doesn't work until I disable and re-enable the addon.

Is there some kind of pattern?
Can I 100 times by clicking on a link and to repeat the mistake at last?

when the problem happens, antdm just won't intercept ANY downloads, no matter how many times you try. you must disable and then re-enable the addon to fix the problem.
(you have to go to firefox addon manager, disable, then re-enable the antdm addon to fix it). the antdm icon in firefox shows it's enabled, but it doesn't work.

If you want to repeat downloading of the same file (link) within an interval less than ~20 seconds, AntDM will refuse the re-download.
Is this not your case?

nope. you can downlad a file, then after a few minutes you want to download another and it won't work. it's completely random. It might work perfectly for a whole day and fail the next.
My only doubt is if this is a firefox problem or a problem with the addon itself.
If it's a FF problem, there's nothing you can do. If it's a problem with the addon, then you could do s/thing about it.

Yep, I already read that. Most of the cases don't apply to me, unfortunately.

There are 2 fixes, 1. delete extensions, etc and 2. create a new profile.

I meant, try the fixes and check the Firefox/AntDM issues.

i can't create a new profile, I have too much stuff on my current profile that I don't wanna lose. Plus. I already did it a while ago (and had to learn magic to transfer all my stuff to the new one, which i don't wanna do again)

Problems can be more than just Firefox and antFF2.xpi.
in this chain there are Windows stream I\O and antFF.exe.
When you reset the addon, you reset to the initial state of all components. Next time try to kill only antFF.exe.
If the problem is in it, then capture files will have to start working again.

Interestingly, does the downloading files from the context menu work when this error happens? I think not.

regarding the context menu, I'm not sure, I'll try it when it fails.

Failed again. Killed antff.exe, nothing happened, the process was re-spawned, but it still AntDM wouldn't intercept the download. Disabled and re-enabled the addon (on FF's addon manager), that fixed it immediately.

I had this same problem back when I was using FDM, then I switched to IDM for a while and it was very stable, no issues that I can remember.

if I'm not mistaken AnDM and FDM uses stream IO, IDM WebSocket for connection to native part. But this is unlikely problem when the capture works from the context menu. It is worth to think about.

I updated the beta for you. A little change was done in Firefox addon.
General transfer of captured file to native part is made now similarly to the capture and transmission from the context menu.
Please tomorrow work with this build.
