Downloading a YT playlist

YouTube changes things all the time. I try to keep track of this and make changes to the beta version. If the changes are important, then I issue immediately the release .
Did you try the latest beta? Did not work it?

No I didn't try latest beta.

Now a question. I want to download the YT playlist but as an audio list (mp3) not video at all, how to do it?

Got another issue:

There's a bug when the programs finishes parsing the links and adds it to the main gui for download, the first link gets moved to the last position in the queue.

Also I got another issue when the program renames every mp3 files after conversion:

Give me your playlist link for test.

It happens with any link, not one in particular

The first file really goes to the end of the download list. Not too much of a problem, but I'll look at it tomorrow.
The names of the downloaded files are correct.

These are filenames shortened to 8 characters in compatibility mode. I think it's affected by some setting of your file explorer.
I'll re-check tomorrow.

The beta was updated with some changes. I did not detect any incorrect file naming.

The order in the download list is fixed.

The filenames shortened to 8 char. issue remains.

FWIW if I download mp4 instead of mp3 AntDM names the files correctly.

I noticed mp3 files are named with the extension .MP3 (uppercase). Maybe this got something to do, right?

No

In my case mp3 extension always in lower case.

Try to switch converter from ffmpeg.exe to internel antdm.
Perhaps these are temporary files that ffmpeg.exe did not delete after its work.

Internal converter was set already and switched to ffmpeg too. No joy either.
Btw ffmpeg is much faster than internal.

The internal converter will run as fast as ffmpeg.exe if you set timeout=0 below.

Try these steps for my understanding of what's going on:
- If you copy another file with a long name into this folder, what are you short or long name?
- Can you do the same test on another pc?
- Switch to antMpg.dll converter

Not possible. But it's irrelevant cause you already did it for me. You already tested on another PC so this issue is confined to my Windows 10 os and AntDM. Fwiw, I tried another software, 4k Video Downloader, and it doesn't write a short name.

To learn more see AntDM Conversion Settings
- FFMpeg.exe is external software converter
- antMpg.dll is internal AntDm converter

If you really want to troubleshoot this issue I propose a remote session so you can take a look. I use AnyDesk, don't like TeamViewer.

I tested your example on my standard virtual PCs (win7,10). I cannot reproduce this issue with common PC settings.
I have no new ideas.

I don't like connecting to other user's PC and dealing with non-standard settings. This usually does not help in solving the issue .

Latest Beta

I downloaded MP3 for a single link and a playlist. No naming issue here. The extracted audio files have the same name as the video files.
