AntDM Closes the webpage I'm in. Option is DISABLED

Hi!
Using the latest stable version, I just noticed that whenever I click on a link to download a file, the page is closed.
The option to "remove the empty page after starting the download" is disabled.
Although, the behavior is not identical, it closes the page, but instead opens a blank page in its place.
This happens to me when I click on links that are on a local html file, it doesn't seem to happen on regular webpages on the internet...

Edit: wait a minute, it's not AntDM's fault. It seems to be the new firefox 75. Same thing happens with FDM. It does not happen If there are no Download managers enabled.

Have you had time to look into this?
It might be a firefox problem or maybe download managers need some tweaking to work with FF75...

use any link, it doesn't matter.
just create an html file with a direct link to a file and open it in firefox, then click on the link.

for example, create an html file with this link
http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe
then open the file in firefox 75 and click the link.
YOU MUST CREATE AN HTML FILE. if you click the link here, it will work just fine.
the link should be set to not open a new window.

The funny thing this is that this doesn't happen if there are no DMs enabled. Only when you enable a DM (FDM, Ant, etc) this happens. That's why I was thinking that DMs now will need some tweaking to work correctly with this version of firefox.

Note that if you press the refresh button, FF will reload the page correctly.

DM cancels the download. To this effect Firefox must answer correctly.
Before Firefox did not notice the cancel of the download. Now it answer by a blank page.
The same was the case with chrome couple of years ago.
But chrome has more features of its API.

Chrome didn't fix it. I switched to another API to mitigate the chromium reaction.
Firefox does not have this API. I pointed that out to them two years ago. They answered that the need for such an API is low.

But we will hope...

I'm having the same issue with Google Chrome 81.0.4044.122 (x64) on Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) with Ant Download Manager 1.17.5 Beta.

When I do the same test on my Mozilla Firefox Quantum 75.0 (x64), the issue does NOT occur.

We must try and get this fixed, as its really pissing me off, as I'm sure its pissing everyone off....

If you cannot reproduce the issue, then perhaps you will need to remotely connect to someones machine to see the issue and investigate?

I just reproduced the same results on a VMWare clean Image.

It was very easy reproduce, so I made a new video of running the tests in both Chrome and then Firefox.

it worked for me on that page, firefox 75 x64, win7 x64.
My problem is when I click on a link on a LOCAL html file. Web pages on the internet work as expected.

The guys from the Firefox team fixed it.
This bug (problem) should be resolved in the 77 version.
Firefox Developer 77.0 beta works well.
