progress windows disappear

Hi!

more bugs: I've been seeing this for a while now, so I decided to report it.
Sometimes, while downloading, if I click on a window (any window other that the progress window), to bring it to the foreground, the progress window just disappears, instead of just being relegated to the background. The downloads continue, though, but the progress window is nowhere to be found.
I mean, if the progress window loses the focus, then it disappears, instead of just losing the focus.

I hope you guys can look into this, it is very annoying.

BTW, right-clicking the download on AntDM's main window and selecting "Show progress window" does nothing.

I forgot to mention, I'm using the latest beta.

This issue happens when you disable "Always on top" on Download Progress Window.

When disable "Always on top" the software does not re-check whether there is an another window on top of it, but every time a new download arrives, it brings the progress window to the foreground.
Is this the case (only if a new download)?

Nope, when you start a new download, the progress window is brought to the foreground. The problem is that when that window loses the focus (if you click somewhere else on your screen, for example), the download window just disappears, completely. it vanishes. It should just remain behind the other windows instead of disappearing. Additionaly, if you go to the main window of andtdm and right-clcik the dowload in progress (whose window disappeared) and select "show progress window", nothing happens, the progress window is gone.

And yes, the "always on top button" is unchecked.
Remeber last week, you fixed a bug that caused to new download windows to appear with the "always on top" button pressed? Something got screwed and now it's causing this issue.

for me it happens with every single download. I click elsewhere and the DPW disappears.

that would cause the download window to stay open after the download has finished and I DON'T WANT THAT.

ok, I unchecked "close after download is finished" and now the DPW doesn't disappear, but it closes after downloading, which it shouldnn't, that option is to keep it open after downloading. there's definitely s/thing wrong with those options.

Oh, and BTW, that option has always been enabled for me and it never caused the windows to disappear before...it's some bug in the latest beta.

This is the reason for closing the window after downloading the file.

Progress information is tied to the task! If you automatically delete the task, then the progress window will also be closed, and the download information will be deleted.

Yes, I understand that, but the issue here is different.
First, the download progress window should not disappear, regardless of what the setting for "close this dialog after download" is (enabled or disabled).
And second, when the option to "close this dialog...bla bla" is unchecked, that means that the progress windows should stay open, even after the download has finished...(which it doesn't. it closes anyway, ignoring the user's preference).

If the window closing is tied to the option to "delete finished downloads from the list", then the option to close the dialog when finished should be grayed out if the other option es enabled (because it has no effect)

If this flag is set, then in order to delete a task you need to delete all the information related to the task. The scheduler closes the window forcibly and deletes all the loading information.

These two settings live in different dimensions. I do not think they should correlate with each other.

well, but they do. you just said it two posts above this one. when the "delete task" option is enabled, this overrides whatever is set for "close this dialog after downloading...". that's why I suggested that when "delete task" option is enabled, then the other option should be grayed out, because IT HAS NO EFFECT, whether you check it or not.

Yes, I have already lost the thread of the problem

Well, unfortunately it started happening again...
Not only the DPW disappers, when the window is in the foreground (before it disappears), it doesn't appear in the taskbar!
I think that's what causing the window to didappear, since there's no icon in the taskbar for it, when you click away from it, instead of just being minimized to the taskbar (or put in the bg), it just disappears, because it has no corresponding taskbar icon!

I just downloaded the latest version from 29/4 And I'm still seeing this problem!

Maybe you're saying that the progress window goes into the background and the user will search for it for a long time?

No, the progress window vanishes. it disappears. pressing alt-tab to list the currentyl opened windows doesn't show it. it doesn't appear in the taskbar either. going to antdm's main window and right clicking on the download and selecting "show progress window" does nothing too..

Ok, So I uninstalled and reinstalled AntDM, no luck.
uninstalled again and installed previous version 1.13.1, no luck
installed 1.13.2 over 1.13.1 and now it *seems* to be working correctly again. The progress windows don't disappear and there's an icon for them in the taskbar...let's see what happens...

The problem has returned and I didn't do anything!!!!

edit: i just discovered something: Checking the "always on top" button in the download progress window and then minimizing it, magically causes it to re-appear in the taskbar...
