AntDM not dowloading a file

As usual, disabling and re-enabling the addon fixes it immediately, without even restarting firefox.

Portable Firefox creates a separate Profile than Installed Firefox, right?

Try Portable Firefox to rule out the corrupted Profile issue of Installed Firefox.

i don't need portable. i can create another profile and use that one (without deleting my current profile). the problem is that i need the info from my current profile to do my stuff...history, logons, passwords, etc.

Did you check by uninstalling FDM?

uninstalling FDM? what could that have to do with this? anyway, the FDM addon is disabled.

I remembered something-
When FDM 5 stable released, I disabled IDM (chrome) extension and installed FDM. Sometimes IDM still use to intercept the download and mention the extension is old. And sometimes browser intercepted the download and not FDM. I had to restart the browser for FDM to work. Later when I uninstalled IDM, the FDM issue was solved.

I thought you may give a try and check the issue.

That is not the case here. I don't have IDM installed atm. And, IDM has something called "advanced integration" that will intercept downloads even when the addon is disabled. that doesn't exist in FDM.

Perhaps you have another PC to check is this problem of specific PC or not.

A little question your ctrl, alt, keys works well? Do not you feel from time to time problems with them?

And my keys are ok, if they were bad, disabling and re-enabling the addon would't fix it (without even touching any of those keys)

I have other PCs. but this is the one I use for all my stuff. It's the only one I can use to test.
As i've said before, this is totally random, I can't test it on aother PC, I would have to test it all day and That's not practical.

After some more testing I noticed something strange, the download window now takes a few seconds to appear after you click on a link. In previous versions, it was almost instantaneous...not a big deal, though.

Test this on our site. Try to download antdm by click on the orange button. It should launch a download window almost at once.
Other sites do sometimes delays before handing the file, such as googledrive.

works fine. I didn't notice I had some torrents uploading at full speed. limited the upload speed and now it seems fine.

The problem was that the state of pressing Ctrl service button is not reset when you release it.
So I asked you whether the keyboard works well.
It happens very rarely for me. Not a standard situation.

what does the ctrl key have to do with anything??? I don't use the control key to start a download with antdm, only click.

or is it that sometimes AntDM "thought" that the ctrl key was pressed, thus preventing it from catching the download??

copy/past - ctrl-c/ctrl-v use?! It's enough.

so antdm is watching the ctrl key all the time, not only when clicking a link????

Well, not quite, I noticed another thing: everytime I enter a site with an mp4 video playing embedded, AntDM downloads it, it's kinda annoying. I though it was one particular site's problem, but then I saw it on several other sites...definitely s/thing wrong.
